Millbrook Properties, an award-winning property management company in the Chicagoland area, came to VID to design a floor of office suites that appealed to new tenants. The designs provide turnkey spaces to businesses that are looking to occupy offices quickly that incorporate special, more custom, and thoughtful interior design.
The vision and subsequent design concept centered around a modern and fresh shared space and conference center. Millbrook Properties wanted the three suites to feel connected in design, but each to have its own identity with a memorable first impression for visitors to the offices. To accomplish this, all the office suites have the same carpet and clean lines, while each has its own paint colors, laminates, fabrics, and luxury wood look vinyl tile. The color palettes allowed each space its own uniqueness, while maintaining the overall design cohesions needed to tie the spaces together.
Careful consideration was given to the aesthetics of the office space. We retrieved feedback from some of the top brokers in the area to identify the trends businesses are attracted to when finding commercial properties. We used touches of gold in the common space because that is definitely trending right now. The spec suites were meant to be fairly neutral design-wise so they would appeal to the masses. Suite A had a slight nod to mid-century modern with walnut accents, Suite B was more of a soft contemporary look, and Suite C has a slight rustic flare.
Vertical Interior Design and Rieke Office Interiors have designed office spaces for other Millbrook Properties, which have all resulted in the spaces leasing very quickly with quality tenants. The post-occupancy feedback for this project has also been very positive. As Millbrook has continued to expand, its ideals, values, and the commitment to customer service have never wavered. Customer satisfaction will always be the top priority for this property management firm, and this office design partnership will ensure that their customers will be happy with the quality of their offices for years to come.
