Let your half bath shine!

Sometimes the smallest room in your home can make the biggest impact, so let your half bath shine! The half bath is a great opportunity to find your design style and can serve as a jumping off point to designing the rest of your home. OR…Go BOLD! If you already know your design style and want to experiment with something fun or different in your half bath, go for it. The half bath (also called a powder room, water closet or guest bath) generally has a small foot print at about 50sq.ft. not including plumbing. The half bath is a small room that is closed off from the rest of your home, so why not have fun with it?! The half bath is one of the easiest rooms to design, with probably the quickest turn around and can sometimes be accomplished without any huge renovations.

LARGE TILES

Playing with the scale of your half bath by using large can make the room look bigger. Consider carrying the same tile onto the floor for a seamless look.

dark colors

There’s a common misconception that dark colors make a room smaller, but they can actually give off the same illusion that an all-white room would. Using a dark color adds depth and drama to your half bath design.

Use a pedestal or floating sink – Taking up less floor space will help the room seem bigger and make cleaning easier!

bold statements

A sink that’s either recessed into the cabinetry or a bowl sink on top of a pedestal is a great place add a bit of drama with an accent color or artistic feature.

A striking chandelier or pendent is the jewelry to any room! Don’t forget to coordinate it in your half bath with new hardware on an updated cabinet, new faucet, and other bath accessories.
